Wedding to Pregnancy!

Honeymoon...................... not too long after that.

We started in San Diego on November 27, 2009, went to Utah for an open house and then to Texas for another open house during the weeks following, before we settled in at home. Texas is a nice place to live--I'm still trying to settle in--and make it home.

It's been fun. We went from wedding to pregnant and that is a lot of excitement all at once.

While the cake was ordered with a "carriage" on it, it was not a WEDDING carriage, it was a BABY carriage--oops! We all thought it was funny--and didn't serve the cake at our Open House in Utah. What we didn't know was that there was truth in it! We are having a baby at the end of August. ♥

The feeling chubby stage wasn't fun... well, it isn't over either. Lol! I'm still adjusting to all of those changes that occur. The hormone levels and crying stuff just isn't me. It will all be worth it though. I'm SO happy that God is willing to entrust us with one of His tender spirits. It's a girl. Isn't that precious!?!? This is me at FIVE months, or 20-21 weeksish.

Wedding Day!

I'll put up some pictures of that incredible day. We started at the heavenly temple, went to the graceful beach for some pictures--we felt like hot celebrities, people look at you when you are dressed up for a wedding day--then a delicious luncheon, and a gorgeous reception. Thanks to everyone who was a part of the perfect day! We're now back in Texas, after the exciting honeymoon at the beach and the open houses. It's been so fun settling in and becoming Texan. More adventures every day!

Married to the Man of My Dreams!

Enjoying California one final time before I become Texan--sealed in the San Diego Temple. David Wideman, my husband, is the greatest guy in the world! You can try and argue with me, but I've got some good come-backs, so watch-out!!! Here are some pictures from our dating through the wedding... and this is me, trying to blog... after quite the "non-blogging" time period. Perhaps, I'll be needing a new blog before I get carried away, just so that it can be David's and mine. We'll see.

I LOVE BEING A TEACHER!

When I started teaching first grade this year, I didn't really know what to expect. I mean, I knew that I loved to teach... but I had NO REAL IDEA. Guess what--I LOVE being a teacher!!! It's not the, "teacher, I need to go to the bathroom" all day that I love though--that's just a perk. Really, I love watching the light come on in my students' little eyes. That is certainly a joy for me. I teach the basics in education and the basics of life. C'mon, these little ones need help with their shoelaces still. The other day, I was trying to build on words that have "at" and "ap" in them: mat, map, cat, cap, chat, chap. You try it!
